Yes — it's our speciality. As a family of four (and foster carers), we provide a travel cot, high chair, pushchair, stair gates, bottle steriliser, baby bath, changing mat, video monitor, booster seats, a toddler bed and much more, all included in the price. For babies: an Oyster 2 pushchair, travel cot, microwave bottle steriliser, baby bath, top-and-tail bowl, changing mat, video baby monitor, sippy cups, weaning spoons, hip seat and baby carrier. For toddlers and young children: removable stair gates, booster seats, a toddler bed and bed guard, toddler steps, toddler plates, bowls, cups and cutlery, plus buckets and spades. There's no need to hire equipment or fill the car.
Up to 8 people across 4 bedrooms: two rooms with a king-size bed, one room with bunk beds plus a single bed, and one room with a single bed. There are two bathrooms, one with a bath and the other with a shower (both with a toilet). A toddler bed and travel cot are also available on request.
Yes, it's perfect for two families to stay together! It's a common arrangement. There are two double rooms and then another two bedrooms for the children, plus a toddler bed and cot if required. All for the price of one booking.
Easily. Buy a through train ticket to Shanklin from any mainland station — the price includes the catamaran from Portsmouth Harbour to Ryde, and the Island Line train runs along the coast to Shanklin. You can also cross as a foot passenger on the Wightlink FastCat, Hovertravel hovercraft or Red Funnel Red Jet. The house is a short walk from Shanklin station, the beach and the shops. Parking is free, on-street and unrestricted, but it isn't allocated — at busy times you may need to drive round a few nearby streets to find a space. Many guests find they don't need the car at all once they arrive, as the beach, shops and station are all within walking distance. You can park in the station car park (6 minutes walk) for just £2/day.
Yes — when you book direct with us we can generally offer 25% off car ferry tickets with Wightlink and Red Funnel. Just ask when you book.
Please be aware the house is a townhouse over three floors, and the stairs down to the kitchen, dining room and patio are steep and fairly narrow. We have two solid handrails and non-slip treads, but guests with mobility difficulties may find these stairs challenging. Please get in touch if you'd like more detail before booking.
Yes. The house has super-fast fibre broadband with a strong Wi-Fi signal throughout, and mobile reception is good. There's also a home-office workstation with dual monitors, keyboard, mouse, camera and speaker on a USB docking station for your laptop.
Sorry, no. We try to keep the house allergen-free for the comfort of all our guests, so we're unable to accept pets.
Yes. High-quality bed linen, bath towels, beach towels, hand towels and tea towels are all included, along with environmentally friendly toiletries and cleaning supplies.
Check-in is from 4:00pm and check-out is by 10:00am. Check-in is self-service with clear instructions sent in advance.
Cancellation is free if more than 5 days before your trip; within 5 days the full rate is charged. Booking direct with us gives you the best rates.
